Privacy Policy

MagnesiumGuide runs no analytics, sets no tracking cookies, and collects no personal information. Here's the detail.

Last updated: 29 July 2026

The short version: this site runs no analytics, sets no tracking cookies of its own, and has no sign-up forms. I don’t collect personal information about you, and there’s nothing for me to sell even if I wanted to.

The longer version is below, because “we respect your privacy” means nothing without the specifics.

Who runs this site

I do. My name is Sean, and I run MagnesiumGuide at https://www.magnesiumguide.com/. Questions about this policy go to [email protected].

What I don’t collect

To be specific, this site has:

  • No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, nothing. I genuinely do not know which pages you read or how long you spent on them.
  • No tracking cookies set by this site.
  • No contact forms or newsletter sign-ups. If you email me, I have your email address, because that’s how email works. I use it to reply to you and nothing else.
  • No advertising network, so no ad profiling.
  • No accounts or logins.

The one thing stored on your device

If you use the light/dark theme toggle, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the name mg-theme. It never leaves your device, it isn’t a cookie, and it isn’t sent to me or anyone else. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information needed to deliver the page to you, such as your IP address and browser type, and it uses this for security and network performance. That processing is covered by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy. I don’t have access to an analytics dashboard built from it.

Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means I may earn a commission if you buy through one. See the Affiliate Disclosure for the full explanation.

Here’s the privacy part: when you click an affiliate link, you leave my site and arrive at the retailer’s, and the retailer may set its own cookies to record that you came from here. That’s how the commission is tracked. What they collect and how they use it is governed by their privacy policy, not mine, and I have no access to it beyond seeing that a sale happened. At the moment the affiliate programme I’m part of is Jigsaw Health, which uses a tracking service called Refersion.

If you’d rather not be tracked at all, don’t use the affiliate links. Search for the product directly instead. The information on this site is exactly the same either way.

Your rights

Since I don’t hold personal information about you, there’s usually nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have emailed me and want that correspondence deleted, ask and I’ll delete it.

As an Australia-based site I’m subject to the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. If you’re in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you rights of access, correction, erasure, and objection; if you’re in California, the CCPA/CPRA gives you similar rights, including the right to know what is collected and to opt out of its sale. I do not sell personal information to anyone.

Children

This site is written for adults and isn’t directed at children. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If I add anything that changes the picture, such as analytics or a newsletter, I’ll update this page and change the date at the top. I’d rather tell you than quietly start collecting things.
